Changing Your Connection String

In this lesson, you'll learn how to view and/or change your connection string

Access the Application Configuration Screen

1. Click Help
2. Click Application Configuration and Settings

View or Modify the Connection String

1. In the Connection String field, enter the name of your database after the "Initial Catalog="
2. Enter your database server after the "Data Source="
3. Click OK
4. Close and relaunch the application for the new connection to take effect

Note: If you have not logged into the application, then your current settings are hidden. You can still modify the string.
