Agency representatives can use iPreLog to electronically send their evidence submission information to a forensic laboratory so they can submit their evidence more quickly.
Enter your login name and password and click the Login button.
To start entering a new case, click the Submit New Case button.
Add the case info by entering your agency's case number (required) and a note if desired. Select the lab to which you will be submitting the evidence. Click New Case Details to start a new submission. To update an existing case that has that agency case number, click the Existing Cases button.
Once you have selected an option, you will see the case details page. To add a new record, click the New button next to the type of record you want to create. Each record type is explained below.
For each individual, enter at least a last name and click Save.
After each individual is added, you have the option to add another one. Click OK to add another individual or Cancel to return to the case details screen.
Select at least a description for the offense. To add more than one offense, click the Save and Add another Offense button. To return to the details screen, click the Save and Return to the Main Screen button.
For each evidence item, enter at least your evidence number, a description and the name of the representative that is submitting the evidence.
To add more evidence, click the Save and Add another Evidence button. To return to the details screen, click the Save and Return to the Main Screen button.
To request analysis on evidence, 1) select the service to be performed, the representative requesting the analysis and 2) check one or more items on which the analysis is to be performed.
To add another request for analysis, click the Save and Add another Request button. To return to the details screen, click the Save and Return to the Main Screen button.
Once all of the case details have been entered, click the Submit Case button.
On the confirmation screen, click the OK button.
The evidence submission receipt will appear in a separate window. Click the Print button on the report and send it to a local printer. This receipt should be submitted along with your evidence to the laboratory. The bar code will allow the lab's evidence room to quickly locate your evidence record.
