How do I Start or Stop the iPreLog Mail Reader Service?

The mail reader runs within the iPreLog receiving agency/lab and processes the iPreLog files provided to them by their agencies that use an iPreLog web site.The installation of the MailReader will have installed the mail reader as a service on the workstation or server and will automatically start the service. There are times when the service may need to be stopped and restarted.
Manually Starting the Service
1. Go to the Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services.
2. Find the Service named “iPrelog Mail Reader”
3. Right-click on it and select Start
You can logout (not shutdown) of the workstation and the Service will continue running.
Manually Stopping the Service
1. Go to the Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services
2. Find the Service named “iPrelog Mail Reader”
3. Right-click on it and select Stop
